Colbert’s ‘Word’… Debt Panels

Steven Colbert’s one of the funnier people/newscasters out there – and his piece on “Debt Panels” [opens video] is terrific.
Colbert helps us understand the role of finance in the emergency medicine department, a role that has grown significantly over the last couple years along with the rise of the number of uninsureds…
Hat tip to Care and Cost for the head’s up.

  1. Newscaster!? Really? He’s a satirist. It’s sad that so many people see him and Jon Stewart as “newscasters” and cite their stories as fact. What’s next, citations from The Onion?

  2. At least He and Stewart are bringing some political topics to the attention of an otherwise oblivious public. So what if they’re stretched a little. If it strikes a nerve with someone who goes and does more research, then it’s all worth it.

  3. Shannon – the term “newscasters’ was used tongue-in-cheek; that said, he’s way more credible – and certainly more intelligent than Ms Palin, the latest addition to Fox’ stable.
