Insight, analysis & opinion from Joe Paduda
Thank you, Joe!!!!
My name is Bob Taylor, and I’m with the Council for Disability Awareness (CDA).
I know that the team at InsureBlog focuses on debt and insurance, and I was wondering if you would be interested in some recent information from my organization on the shifting trends of long-term disability. The challenge for creating long-term personal security is moving away from traditinal sources (the government and corporate entities) and being put more on to the shoulders of the individual worker and his/her family.
One really important thing this affects is personal retirement planning and post-working years financial security. Recently, CDA released a white paper on this topic that you and your readers might find interesting. Even the best financial planning often does not account for the “forgotten life risk”, the loss of income due to serious illness or injury.
I hope we can stay in touch, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the white paper. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Bob Taylor, President
